- Why -
I had been looking for a unique international volunteer program when I saw WAMM present at a meeting for a pre-med organization (Pre-Med AMSA) I was involved with at the University of Minnesota. I knew immediately that this was the organization I wanted to work with, mainly due to the grassroots nature of their work.
- How -
I grew up in Nisswa, Minnesota and always knew that I wanted to pursue a medical career. After graduating from high school in 2010, I continued the Anderholm legacy and headed to the University of Minnesota, where I am currently in my junior year studying biology.

Biggest Accomplishment
Murray Town Educational Surveillance Study (MTESS)
Leading the MTESS really helped me develop my leadership skills and gave me more confidence. I'm proud of how I helped the two student leaders, Musa and Amjata, become more confident in their leadership skills, and it was so rewarding to watch them change so much in such a short amount of time.
